Last month we has huge traffic (comparing to other time) and also we've collected less than 10K both from donations and from the vendors. So we need something that can bring some more money.
I suggest to make hunt paid. We will open hunt for all (even for bottom) but each needle will be single-use, and will cost L$5. Also the bullet for "in zone" hunt (we have a lot for usable space) will cost L$5.
So the question is - is any reason to do it or not?

How would the hunting within the Edgewater Island region work?
Perhaps, we should call it something like "Chemical Immobilization Drug Dart Hunt" to make things clear, as a way to put the hunt victim to sleep instead of immediate killing. There exist dart projectors like dart guns and dart crossbows at modern days for safe capturing of live animals. For example, we can refer to Chemical Immobilization of Animals guides.

A dart gun is a very interesting rare thing on SL, it is something closer to a sniper rifle, rather than to an assault rifle, because every shot counts!
ReplyDeleteI would make each dart needle price even worth of L$10 instead of L$5, but then I would set a L$5 refund to a successful hunter who has managed to hit the victim and bring them to the GSH region. That would stimulate hunters to bring their victims back to the region for a refund, as well as using the trophy. Of course, a missed dart needle is considered as a spent one, thus no refunds for that one for the unlucky hunter.
Probably, the hunt would attract even more purchases of the ammo, if there will be a monthly random progressive jackpot set, where the prize refund value will exceed the dart needle price, depending on the ammo sales amount. The displayed jackpot value would probably stimulate the purchases of the dart needles.
Though, we have to guarantee not only just fair payments of the refunds, but also proper understanding among the victims of the fact that their hunters have paid for the ammo, otherwise the dart needle price has to be kept as low as L$5.
